ABOUT AIT
On the 31st of August 2005, AIT (Antwerp International Terminal) was founded. AIT operates berths at the new Deurganck Terminal at the left bank of the river Schelde in Antwerp.
On the 2nd of December 2005 'Cypress Bridge' berthed at AIT in Antwerp. Cypress Bridge is a vessel of Yang Ming Lines, with a length of 275m and a capacity of 5,500 TEUs.
On the 23rd of May 2006, the Antwerp International Terminal (AIT) was officially opened by the Flemish Minister for Public Works, Energy, Environment and Nature, Mr Kris Peeters.
Today, AIT together with PSA Antwerp receives 3 weekly services operated by the CKYH alliance: the TAE (Trans Atlantic Express service, i.e. US East Coast - Europe), the NE2 (North Europe - Asia service 2) and the NE4 (North Europe - Asia service 4).
